About

The Dark Continent. The plan is for us, four Students,  to drive from Belfast, Northern Ireland, across Africa to Cape Town in South Africa. The name for this grand adventure is Enda Africa, as Enda is Swahili for travel.

On Thursday the 9th of June we hope to set off overland  for three months in our thirteen year old Land Cruiser Colorado, affectionately named Doris.

We have upgraded the vehicle and gathered enough equipment to let us be almost completely self sufficient on the trip. We camp whenever we like although the intention is to couch surf every night we can, to give us a chance to meet some interesting people along the route. Find out more about couch surfing at http://www.couchsurfing.org/

Our route takes us across Europe through the Middle East to Cairo. From there we travel Eastern Africa down to Cape Town,  South Africa.

We are self funding the trip but are raising funds for our chosen charity Camara. They re-distribute old computers from individuals and organisations to African Schools and are reliant on public support.
